The school of Sciences and Emerging Technologies of Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala has started Certificate Course in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science from the session 2020-21. This programme covers subjects related to artificial intelligence. The Certificate course is of 18 credits consisting 3 subjects and 1 year Diploma Course is of 36 credits consisting 3 subjects in each semester. This will give strong foundation to the learner. One also get to learn programming languages used in AI along with information about various tools and approaches used in AI. The Certificate Course in AI and DS of Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University has been designed to supply trained manpower in ever growing IT and IT Enabled industry.

Continuous Internal Assessment 30%
End Semester 70%
The learner is required to score at least 35% marks in both continuous evaluations (i.e.in assignments) as well as in semester end examinations separately. Besides, at least 40% marks in each course is required in the overall computation.
Students will be awarded Certificate after successfully earning credits of 6 months and after earning credits of 1 year student will be awarded with Diploma.
